Ice Prince Drops Debut Album

 
The past few month have been very amazing for the superstar crooner Ice Prince and his record label , chocolate city which have the array of stars like MI, Jesse Jags and Brymo. There is even more reason for
ice prince and his fans to be excited as his much awaited debut album titled  E.L.I  (Everybody loves ice prince) is scheduled to be release on the 4th of october 2011 but will be launched officially at the prestigious Expo Centre  Eko hotel and suites Victoria Island Lagos, on the 9th of October 2011 by Chocolate City in partnership with Conceptshot Nigerian Limited and Pearl Entertainment.

Ice prince have already release two singles from the E.L.I album "Oleku" which he featured his  label mate Brymo which was voted the most played song on Nigerian radio stations for 2010 by poll of radio station playlist and also the most remix Nigerian song with over 97 different cover version of the song.  "Superstar" the second single is the top of requests list in both radio stations around Nigeria and clubs. The track was recently licensed for the African Reality program which is sponsored by R70/ Ludacrus and his Distributing the Peace Label.

E.L.I has the compilation of tracks which he featured the Choc Boiz, Tuface, South African Hip Hop super star HHP, upcoming G.R.I.P Boiz, Morell among other. The albulm is produced by Chocolate City's production power house and multi award winning producer Jesse Jagz.

As a part of the build up to the event, Ice Prince will make a number of appearances at the hottest spots in Lagos and also have a television and radio tour.

The fans have not been left out as there is an exciting giveaway contest for 10 golden tickets to the launch, 20 autographed copies of the album, 2 apple iPads and 4 BlackBerry Bold.

Slim Brown ft. Durella, Wizboyy - Akara don done

 
Slim Brown has returned with the remix of the street anthem "AKARA DON DONE" ft. Wizboyy, the single which became an anthem on the streets of mainly the south eastern and south southern parts of the country and strongly breaking grounds in Nigeria. This warranted the AKARA DON DONE (remix) ft. Durella, Wizboyy, for greater appeal. Slim Brown can be considered the next big break-out artiste coming from the south eastern part of the country, he was given the seat as the guest judge/artiste at the just concluded regional finals of the Mnet/Glo NAIJA SINGS in Enugu, a show seen by millions across Africa, were he put up a spectacular performance.


Toronto Artist, Ebedoz Releases New MIXTAPE ‘Escape Off’

Born in Benin City, Nigeria, Ebedoz (Ebere Udeozor) has had a love for music from early childhood. Despite facing numerous obstacles along his path, Ebedoz used them as fodder to his passion and drive to realize his dreams.

From participating in local gigs to singing at the local church, Ebedoz eventually joined a musical group where he further polished his craft.

After moving to Canada, Ebedoz became a finalist at the Peace Country Idol singing competition in 2005 in Alberta, and shortly after, moved to Toronto.                                    
                                                                                                                          
His debut project "Just Boarded" was released early July 2011 and Ebedoz recieved a shout out from Kendrick Lamar after he hear one of tracks "Escape" off the mixtape.

Maestro - Feeling Myself

 
The music industry will again witness the best of hip hop like never seen before when gifted singer,Abdul AbdulKadir otherwise known as Maestro unleash his debut hit single entitled Feeling Myself. The single is set to be released on saturday ,September 17, 2011 by . Merovin, a management company owns by brilliant youngman, Musa.

The graduate of Information Techology at FUT MINNA has done collaborations with biggest hip hop acts like Pherowshuz, Terry Tha Rapman, Overdose, Praiz among others and he is ready to drop his debut single. Maestro will be releasing his debut album next year. In a chat with us, the Kaduna State born artiste said it is time for him to ignite the industry with his style of music, saying that, "I am ready for the real business, which is good music and I have what it takes to change the face of Nigeria hip hop music."






Iceprince Interview (After Afrobeats Festival 2011)




The long awaited debut album for the "oleku" crooner Iceprince, E.L.I ( everybody loves Iceprince ) is set for release on the 9th of October 2011. 

Factory78tv caught up with him after his appearance at the Afrobeats festival to talk about the album delay , sad loss of his mum and all things E.L.I.

Engager Debuts With 'Engage You' Video

Afolabi Tiwatope Ogunleye a.k.a ENGAGER is a London based Nigerian singer and songwriter.
His stage energy, swag and performance strength  is why he has been Titled 'THE ENGAGER' because he engages and entertains the crowd and keep them captivated for as long as he's on stage. This however is no surprise as he is a cousin to the master of stage-craft D'BANJ.

He started singing when he was 12years of age and was in the choir back in his secondary school days 'Nigerian Navy Secondary School Abeokuta'. Engager Schooled in Covenant University, Nigeria where he obtained his BSc in Business Administration in 2007 and went further in his education to acquire a MSc in International Business at the University of Birmingham UK in 2011.

Engager is tenacious and a very humble young man with his ambition to be Africas biggest artist and a major icon for Africa. He's been described as the next D'Banj by acts like Samklef, Skales, Wizkid and some of his other friends.

He has kick started his music career by dropping his singles Engage you (featuring Skales and R.I.C), Olodo (featuring R.I.C) and Low-key. He's also shot a video for the lead single Engage You, the video was directed by SAMKLEF who also produced the song.

Opzy - Eniba Lomo Freestyle (6'foot 7'foot)

 
OPZY "Toh gba trophy" is Just 16 years of age, he was among the Top 10 Finalists in the DON JAZZY/NOTJUSTOK Enigma beat competition and later came 3rd in the competition. We posted one of his singles a few weeks back titled YORUBA RAP which was produced by the ace producer Samklef.

OPZY just murdered "Lil Wayne's 6 foot 7 foot instrumental" which he calls "ENIBA LOMO" and he also did a studio viral video for his fans to enjoy. The Young boy is not relenting at all and making it to the 3rd position on the Enigma beat competition has been a major boost.

He is currently working with the Nigeria/UK producer Bayoz Muzik to complete the ENIBA LOMO MIXTAPE.

Bank holiday weekend in the UK saw the emergence of Afrobeat as a mainstream sound and one of the stars that made this happen is "star boy" wizkid. 
Coming off his successful performance at the HMV Apollo, he had the chance to sit down with Factory78tv and talk about his new found fame, 
The release of his incredible and successful debut album, clear surging rumours about dropping out of school and more recently pregnancy rumours.

Jus' Kiddin' 360 & Micworx Present: The Waka EP

EFA collaborates with Big Foot, on ground breaking EP, Waka.

Fast rising rapper, EFA teams up with Micworx resident Producer, Big Foot. The Waka EP as it has been titled, features 5 tracks, of which no two songs are alike. The EP is an introduction to the rapper, EFA and a reintroduction to the producer Big Foot as they champion the cause for a changing landscape as regards good Nigerian Music.

The EP in brief
The intro, available only on the full version of the EP (see attached), features forewords fromM.ILamiDjineeDJ Klem and DJ Atte, touting EFA as the future of Nigerian Rap, and the EP as top notch.

The name, Waka, borrows on the derogatory Nigerian slang that has all five fingers of the human stretched to their limits. Each track on the EP represents a finger on the 'Waka hand'. Track 1, Green Light represents the thumb. Track 2, Number One represents the index finger. Track 3, F U represents the middle finger; Track 4, Put a Ring On Your Finger represents the wedding finger and finally Track 5, Gamble With your Life represents the pinkie finger. 

Hither to, EFA has been popular for his love themed and inspired rap verses on the Remix of Mo'cheddah's If You Want Me; DJ Klem's Try Again as well as his very own (leaked) One More Chance. He has had the opportunity to work with the likes of M.I, DJ Klem, Lami, Beazy, Yemi Sax and host of others.

The seasoned Hip-Hop influenced producer, Big Foot represents the Ogba-Lagos based production team, Micworx. He has worked with the Nigerian Hip-Hop collective, Str8buttah; Plumbline, 5mics, Pasha and many others.
