Introducing Clay - Nigerian Rock Act
Clay whose real name is Bianca Adanna okorocha is a 21 year old Nigerian born singer songwriter, video director, actress, and guitarist. She was born in Lagos, and studying Bus admin at Lasu. By the age of 8, she was already part of her local church choir. By 15, she had gone on tours with 2face, Dr solek, Rugged man as a dancer. She also starred as the lead girl in d video of ‘’onyiye’’ by Obiwon.
Her style of music is Rock fused with pop and local elements .Theme’s in Clay’s music includes self-empowerment of oneself, and also she sings about love. Clay believes “her music is about being who you are, and been accepted for who you are and also going for your dreams, no matter how weird they may be”.
Growing up, Clay listened to bands like Matchbox20, Creed, Avril lavigne, Dido, Onyeka onwenu, and her influences include Dido, Cranberries, Rihanna.
Her debut single called ‘’Nenum’’ is a ballad and was produced by the Superproducer ‘’ColdFlames’’.This song is so personal to her. It was sung with great passionate vocals of hers coupled with the fantastic production by coldflames, this song is sure to rule the industry soon.
Clay is working on her debut video, and also recording more songs with her producer.
