MTN PROJECT FAME WEST AFRICA: MIKE IS THE ONE!

Well, it's come and gone, it was fabulous, sensational, mind blowing and i could go on and on. Hang on there; I’m talking about the MTN Project Fame West Africa Reality Show finals.

The evening was very eventful with guest performances from Wande Coal and the previous winner Iyanya alongside Dj zeez.

Also, previously evicted housemates gave a joint performance (it was good to see them after a while especially Denise and Anis for me)

But first off, the five finalists; Madonna, Nicolas, Krimi, Tomiwa and Mike gave outstanding performances that thrilled the crowd.

So the time finally came for the winner to be revealed and thus it went:

5th place: Madonna (a lot of people were surprised but I guess it was humbling for her)

4th place: Krimi (despite her pronounced physic, she managed at most times to blend beauty with boldness)

3rd place: Tomiwa (the most matured out of the pack. I feel he was always given too much laxity ala performing lagbaja songs!)

2nd place: Nicolas (the meek one that always conveyed gentility through his music touching both young and old. Hope Timaya is reading this!)

1st place: Mike (the wafi boy with too much swagger. Extra credit being the best onstage entertainer)

Well, we will be hoping all these talented youths come out with something over the next years to stamp an everlasting impression in our musical hearts (left to me, Iyanya is yet to even give a thumbprint).

I will be missing the whole euphoria, Mr. Ben’s emphatic notions about life and most of all Madam Joke’s “mushy mushy” tantrums.

What about you?
